WPSWP's Doug Schooling recently met with Max Mouth Guards to discuss the prevention of ever increasing dental injuries to players during practises and matches.
Dr. Jacques Slabber, a sports dentist involved with Max Mouth Guards, commented on the fact that a large number of preventable injuries occur during water polo matches and as a result is keen to promote the use of proper custom fitted pressure laminated mouth guards for water polo players.
Max Mouth Guards currently supply top of the range custom fitted mouth guards to teams such as the Springboks, SA 7's, SA U21 rugby squads, the SA women's rugby as well as the 5 Super 14 teams and SA men's field hockey teams.
Research has proven that a proper custom fitted mouth guard will have no noticeable effect on breathing or speech while partaking in sport
Max Mouth Guards have agreed to attend WPSWP practises to attend to any interested players and has agreed to offer a special deal to WPSWP players.
