CANNONS CREEK INDEPENDENT
SCHOOL will be hosting the largest
co-ed u13 waterpolo tournament in South Africa with 28 teams, 280
players, 20 referees, 16 officials, 2 swimming pools and loads of great
waterpolo! After two successful years of hosting this tournament, and due to the
overwhelming number of participants, the school has hired the Newlands Aquatics
Centre as the venue for this year’s tournament. With enormous sponsorships from
Old Mutual Wealth, Havaianas and Eurolux, the tournament promises to be more
exciting than ever before. Over and above trophies and medal prizes for the top
three teams, there are also great prizes for the Brickwall Defender, Best Goalie and Top Goal Scorer. The Most Valuable Player from the boys and girls
pools will each be awarded aR5 000 tertiary
education investment courtesy of Old Mutual Wealth. The event will
include great food and drinks stalls courtesy of Spur, Bos Ice Tea, Chipstix,
Café Pronto and more. With fun and entertainment for the whole family, we’d like
to encourage as many friends, fans and family members to make their way down to
Newlands Aquatic Centre on Friday, 1 November and Saturday, 2 November to
support the children.
